What is the NAT-TEST?

The NAT-TEST is a Japanese language proficiency examination that follows a format similar to the JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test).

The available levels are:

• N1

• N2

• N3

• N4

• N5

It is one of the most widely taken Japanese language examinations after the JLPT.

Why Should You Take the NAT-TEST?

The NAT-TEST is held six times a year (once every two months):

February, April, June, August, October, and December

The examination results are usually released within one to three weeks after the test date. In recent years, results are often announced within a few days (for example, if the test is held on Sunday, results may be available by Friday).

Certificates are generally issued about three weeks after the results are announced.

Since the scoring system is similar to the JLPT, the NAT-TEST is useful for evaluating your Japanese language ability and for school or job applications.

Passing Scores

• N1 = 100 points

• N2 = 90 points

• N3 = 95 points

• N4 = 90 points

• N5 = 80 points

Examination Structure

Like the JLPT, the NAT-TEST consists of three sections.

Section Passing Requirement

• Minimum score required for each section: 19 points

Even if your total score is above the passing mark, you will fail if you score 18 points or less in any section.

Therefore, candidates must obtain at least 19 points in all three sections.

NAT-TEST in Myanmar

The NAT-TEST is also conducted in Myanmar.

NAT-TESTは、JLPT（日本語能力試験）と同じような形式で実施される日本語能力試験です。

なぜNAT-TESTを受験するべきですか？

NAT-TESTは年6回（2か月に1回）実施されます。

試験結果は通常、試験後1週間から3週間以内に発表されます。

最近では、日曜日に試験を受けた場合、その週の金曜日頃に結果が発表されることもあります。

合格証明書は、結果発表後およそ3週間で発行されます。

採点基準はJLPTとほぼ同じであるため、自分の日本語能力を確認したり、学校や就職の応募に活用したりすることができます。

• 各セクション最低得点：19点

総合点が合格基準を満たしていても、いずれかのセクションで18点以下の場合は不合格となります。
